Mincor Resources NL (Mincor) have just announced that they are on track for Maiden Nickel Mineral Resource at Cassini as the company’s in-fill program wraps up successfully.
Word has just been released that the Mincor is advancing their organic growth strategy by successfully unlocking the value of the company’s Kambalda land-holdings for both nickel and gold.
“Our first resource drilling campaign at the Cassini CS2 nickel channel has been an outstanding success, confirming consistent high-grade nickel sulphide mineralisation over a large plunge extent,” announced Mincor’s Managing Director Mr Peter Muccilli.
Work by Mincor has commenced to conclude a maiden Mineral Resource estimate for Cassini, which is set to mark the first significant addition to their nickel resource inventory at Kambalda in years. The company is set to move quickly to undertake mining studies at Cassini. Cassini has been described by Mincor as a new greenfields discovery with ‘significant upside potential’.
“Against the backdrop of a steadily increasing nickel price and strong forecast growth in nickel markets, the programs currently underway are aimed at re-establishing nickel production in the Kambalda District that will be sustained through a commitment to long-term regional exploration testing a quality pipeline of define nickel targets,” explained Muccilli.
Mincor is ramping up regional exploration with reverse circulation and air core drilling programs scheduled to test a series of prospective high-priority targets at Republican Hill, Southern Widgiemooltha and Mariners South too.
Aside from this, the company have announced that they are also on track to process the first 40,000-tonne ore parcel from the Widgiemooltha Gold Project next month.
More information will come as the projects develop.
