Weir Minerals screen range enhanced through Trio acquisition
Screening equipment’s value and how it performs on the job is rarely just a measure of the price paid. Ease of maintenance and equipment durability along with reliable operation and aftermarket support all contribute to the bottom line. This is why Weir’s extensive range of screens, enhanced through their acquisition of Trio, stands out as exceptional value every step of the way.
Weir Minerals continues to expand Trio® branded products’ reputation for world-class design and manufacture of horizontal and inclined screens as well as crushers, washers, conveyors and modular plants.
When it’s time to replace or upgrade existing equipment, producers are choosing Trio® horizontal screens for higher production, better grading, cleaner products and less weekly maintenance.
Trio® TTH horizontal screens provide outstanding performance for all screening applications, particularly when fine screening with a large percentage of near size products, wet washing or when low head room is critical such as in mobile mounted equipment.
The Trio® range of screens is built to accommodate all types of media including cross tensioned wire, poly, rubber and poly agi-vibe. Depending on the application, the screens can also be adapted to use modular rubber and rubber panels, such as Linatex® screen media.
The versatile horizontal screens use proven technology, coupled with modern user friendly features, to give sand and aggregate producers the most durable triple shaft screen currently on the market. The power generated by this triple shaft design results in the screen’s elliptical vibrating motion, a unique feature that differentiates Trio® horizontal screens from others in the market.
Additionally the screens are available in two, three and four deck configurations, feature all huck-bolt construction to ensure structural integrity and are designed to be more efficient than various similarly sized inclined screens. This means that in most cases the horizontal screen size can be downsized, compared with an inclined screen, reducing engineering, steel structure and labour installation costs potentially decreasing the total capital cost of an overall project.
Tony Barton, Weir Minerals Regional Sales Manager Aggregates for Trio Products says, “Trio products benefit from the combination of engineering design and quality control from the USA and our ability to manufacture from our wholly owned production facility in China. This enables us to supply quality engineered and manufactured equipment to the end user as well offering very competitive pricing for all forms of horizontal and inclined screening equipment.”
Weir Minerals’ end-user focused development process finds the best solution for each application with flexibility that is unparalleled in the industry. Working in close partnership with local dealers and customers, Weir’s experienced sales team considers investment scale, operation costs, working environment, capacity and product gradation requirements to provide personalised and customised solutions.
Stuart Borg, Weir Minerals Asia Pacific General Manager for Trio Products says, “By working with our customers and utilising our state of the art engineering centre we are able to ensure that we offer the optimal solution rather than simply another piece of equipment.”
Trio® horizontal screens have often proved to be the best solution for producers’ needs, such as the skidded TTH6203 screen that was recommended for a customer needing to process 250MTPH of dredged material from a lake close to its operations. The screen was primarily selected due to its unique elliptical motion that proved ideal for handling the heavy dredged material.
The quality and reliability of these rugged horizontal screens is demonstrated by the test of time over and over again. Approximately 14 years ago a producer worked with a local dealer of Trio products to develop a re-crush process to generate more sand from slow selling inventory. Trio® TTH horizontal screens were again selected for the task and have proven to be a great investment over many years.
Another operator, processing approximately 150 TPH of material with its existing washing plant, also looked to a Trio® screen for a newer, improved washing system to increase performance, product quality and efficiency. A TTH6203 horizontal screen with washing system was installed and resulted in increased output to 250 TPH with greatly improved product gradation and material cleanliness.
Customers across the globe know that Weir Minerals is ideally positioned with the technical knowledge, local representation and world-class aftermarkets service and support to make them an ideal supply partner for sand and aggregate producers across the globe.
Stuart Borg says, “Weir Minerals won’t just sell you a piece of equipment and then walk away, because servicing our equipment is part of what a partnership with Weir offers our customers. Weir Minerals currently has 14 service centres operating throughout Australia supporting our onsite service teams.”
