Temp Chef Labour Hire (TCLH) is a company with a mission – to have a positive impact in the remote hospitality sector by encouraging changes to the way remote camp management and catering is delivered.
By leveraging their passion for food, quality and a responsibility for the long-term health and well-being of those who work away, TCLH can create a home away from home.
TCLH believes that a happy, healthy workforce is a productive workforce, and nutrition is a key factor in delivering the best remote hospitality services in Australia.
TCLH was founded by two young directors in 2015 who believed the remote industries deserved a better standard of living, and a better way of life on remote camps.
In just four short years, the Company has seen continued growth of over 80 per cent per year, expanding across QLD and WA, with a workforce of over 40 full-time employees.
“At TCLH we believe in doing business that is honest, ethical, and mutually beneficial for all involved.”
The business consists of two different sectors, the first in camp management and catering, across to labour-hire in the supply of highly qualified, inducted and FIFO experienced hospitality staff to remote sites.
Each sector makes up an equal part of TCLH as a company, their labour-hire crews providing outstanding service to clients on a flexible basis, while remaining consistent and reliable.
TCLH prides themselves on taking care of the overall wellbeing of their own staff, and the crew under their care, and is an advocate for healthy living through nutritionally balanced meals.
They work hard to engage with local food suppliers, sourcing the best local ingredients wherever possible.
Remote locations don’t mean bulk frozen food shipped in once a fortnight, it means spending money where it counts.
TCLH actively support suppliers that are local to the remote location that they work in, and will always give preferential treatment to local businesses, working with them to help them understand their commitments and need for fulfilment.
Every project undertaken by TCLH sees the hire of a small number of local residents into the workforce, to help train and upskill where possible.
They also work alongside local government agencies to ensure operations run smoothly with local hires and that a positive experience is achieved by everyone.
TCLH is determined not to be the biggest, but to be the best, and hopes that in lifting the standards for their clients, the FIFO and remote industries will see a positive change in the way workers live remotely.
