Toro Energy Limited has issued an update that its extension study to the proposed Lake Maitland Uranium-Vanadium operation — located approximately 105 kilometres southeast of the Wiluna township in Western Australia and 730 kilometres northeast of Perth. Panoramic Resources Limited appointed administrators have determined that operations at the company’s Savannah Nickel Project in the Kimberley region of Western Australia are to be suspended after in-depth discussions with major creditors, key suppliers and other stakeholders. Arizona Lithium Prairie project boasts 6.3 million tonnes LCE

American sustainable lithium developer Arizona Lithium Ltd has announced that the company’s Prairie Lithium Project’s lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) resources has increased to 6.3 million tonnes (MT) from 5.7 MT LCE. This increase is primarily attributed to the successful acquisition and resource assessment of newly leased lands, adding an additional 600,000 tonnes of LCE to Prairie's resource base. Approximately 500,000 tonnes are classified as Indicated. The new resource estimate comprises 4.5 MT LCE Indicated and 1.8 MT LCE Inferred. The 6.3 MT of LCE at Prairie now represents a staggering nine years of global LCE consumption based on 2022 figures.…

Proposed Alaskan copper-gold mine rejected

The Pebble Limited Partnership (PLP) is proposing to develop the Pebble copper-­gold­-molybdenum porphyry deposit (Pebble Deposit) in southwest Alaska as an open-pit mine, with associated infrastructure. On 25 November 2020, Pebble Partnership CEO, John Shively, issued a statement regarding the decision by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to deny the Clean Water Act 404 permit for the project. The proposed mine would have been located 100 air miles and 230 river miles from Bristol Bay, the world’s most productive salmon fishery, which generates US$1.5 billion in annual revenue and 14,000 jobs.
